Microsoft stream is a popular video hosting platform with some advantages over other streaming services.
- In your web browser, go to stream.microsoft.com and click Sign In.
- Enter your email address for the username and email password.
- Tutorials are available from this landing page, or you may click Create > Upload video:
- Drag your video to this screen or click the browse link to search for the video you would like to upload.
- The upload process will begin and you can enter pertinent information related to the video:
- Video Name
- Video Description
- Video Language
- Selecting a thumbnail to represent the video
- Permissions:
- The default is to Allow everyone in your company to view this video. This is the recommended option to avoid individual access issues.
- Additional Options:
- Commenting turned on/off
- Noise suppression
- Autogenerate Captions
- Subtitles
- Click Publish after the video has finished uploading.
- You may click My Content > Videos to see the video. Note: It may take some time to complete the processing/rendering protocols necessary for streaming. Note that this will result in accurate captioning of the video in most circumstance, though we strongly suggest checking this for accuracy:
