PD3 - Advanced Multimedia Development
Spring 2019 Course Dates - March 1 - April 5
PD3 - Advanced Multimedia Development is a five-week, self-paced, professional development course during which you will work with one of the IDC’s Instructional Designers or Multimedia Producers to develop a pedagogically appropriate, online course-related multimedia project. This course is an extension of PD2 - Online Course Development and Teaching Certificate Program which also serves as a prerequisite for this course.
The course will be offered concurrently with PD2, and it begins in Module 4 of PD2 when PD2 participants start working on their media projects.
Why should I take PD3?
PD3 - Advanced Multimedia Development is intended for faculty and staff who want to develop multimedia presentations/lectures for their online courses. Examples of previously produced presentations can be viewed here. The course graduates who complete PD3 will also receive a certificate of completion.
Who can take PD3?
This course can be taken by the EKU faculty and staff who have completed the PD2 - Online Course Development and Teaching Certificate Program.
Rules for PD3
Faculty are expected to do all work on their projects themselves with the support and guidance of IDC's Instructional Designers. Tools available for PD3 students include animation/speed drawing, PowToon, Screencastomatic, ThingLink, Timeline (TikiToki), Lightboard Video, Video Production, Voiceover PPT, and VoiceThread.

Please complete this form to enroll into PD3 - Advanced Multimedia Development. Please note that this course is available to PD2 graduates only.
