Eastern Kentucky University offers reduced tuition expenses to $250 per credit hour for undergraduate and $325 per credit hour for graduate courses to all service members currently serving on active duty.*
Students may also qualify for Federal Student Aid or may use their GI Bill benefits through the Top-Up program to supplement tuition and fee expenses that are not covered by TA. Please see the Office of Military & Veterans Affairs website at va.eku.edu active or call 859-622-2345 for specific information about using your GI Bill benefits in conjunction with federal tuition assistance.

*Activity duty is defined as on federal orders for 180 days or more.
Exceptions: Graduate nursing students and doctoral students are not eligible for the EKU Military Reduced Tuition of $250/$325 per credit hour, regardless of active duty status. Regular online tuition rates apply to the following programs: Master of Science in Nursing, DNP and OTD. The military reduced tuition cannot be used retroactively. Tuition rate does not include costs associated with a specific course or program, such as textbooks. Visit: SCRA and provide the information requested to generate a certificate verifying active duty status.**
**Important Note: Students will need to provide an updated certificate of active duty status at the beginning of each academic year to extend the active duty reduced tuition. Students must certify their active duty status by the end of the Add/Drop period in their first term, as well as by the end of the Add/Drop period in the first term of each subsequent academic year.
